Aaron Cowan > Small waterfall along Jump Creek. This section is above the main waterfall and took about 45 minutes to hike down to. There is another waterfall or equal height on the opposite side of the rock forming the right edge of this picture.
Aaron Cowan > This is a different view of the same waterfall. The second waterfall is behind the rock and hidden. I especially like the smooth rock formed by the creek's flow.
Aaron Cowan > Yet another perspective using rocks as foreground anchors and capturing more of the creeks fluidity.
Aaron Cowan > This picture reminds me of many pictures I see of the Virgin River Narrows. I particularly like the deep cut in the canyon with the moss covered rock flanking either side.
Aaron Cowan > This section of LIttle Wild Horse Canyon is towards the end of the hike. The canyon opened up to a much larger creek bed and the light was bouncing off the canyons walls above. This lead to a nice glow on the rocks in the foreground of this frame and gave a good foreground to the backdrop of the creek bed and canyon wall in the shade.
Aaron Cowan > Along the walls of Crack Canyon there were numerous depressions, so large enough they had their own depressions. Small arches had formed throughout. Tim had climbed up on one portion and found this and thought it looked interesting. I love the borrowed light being reflected from the upper canyon walls. Cracky Canyon, San Rafael Swell, Utah.
Aaron Cowan > This was taken near the end of the slot section of the canyon. The lighting was finally starting to warm up thanks to reflected late afternoon light. I was drawn to the swirls in the sandstone on the right portion of the canyon. Little Wild Horse Canyon, San Rafael Swell, Central Utah
